Eight Years Ago…

Eight years ago today we hoisted the proscenium up to create what has become a truly iconic stage in drag and queer history. That was three days before we opened and so many thought it was impossible that we were going to have our NYE party. But guess what…we did! I’m constantly reminded of the power of community and what we can accomplish together.

2022 - What a fantastic, challenging, scary & joyous year of growth it’s been - From having to cancel our 2022 NYE celebration due to the Covid surge, to sold out shows and celebrity drop-ins like Lil Nas X, to founding our non-profit, Oasis Arts, & wrapping the building in a gorgeous mural created by five incredibly talented artists, to drag performers coming under attacked by misguided extremists, to creating our Artist in Residency Program, to the first ever Oasis Pride float, to our own brand of alcohol, to making so much art and music... the list goes on. Thank you to everyone that has been part of this year from near and far. If I don’t get to toast you on the 31st, here’s to a profound and fabulous 2023 filled with glamour, laughter, courage and love!
