In Egypt, being gay is criminalized along with HIV, making even getting a test to know your status impossible.  There are 40 million people living with HIV and each year another 1 million are added.  Discriminatory laws and public health policies make the share of gay men and LBT dispropropriate.  That is where Mpact, the longest running, largest, and only organizations focusing on queer health to have observer status at the United Nations, comes in.

You may not realize Mpact, is located here in San Francisco/Oakland, and is the network of 1,000 LGBT and gay health organizations all over the world, it is the single epicenter for drafting and advancing policy to improve our health and that of our brothers and sisters overseas.

Meet George Ayala, Executive Director at Mpact and other local and international experts on Health and Human Rights. https://mpactglobal.org

Hosted with Sean Howell, CEO @ LGBT+ Foundation and c-hosts Xing Wang, Devesh Khatu, Greg Tartaglione, Lazy Bear?

This free event is at 6pm, and will include a quick update on with bullet points on the state of the union of gay men's health globally, and how the bay area (you) can participate more.
